Online Back up

Advance Computers Online Backup Service:

ACS are pleased to announce the launch of our Online Backup service which provides
a simple and cost effective way securely and automatically to back-up your company
data.
This is done by installing our bespoke backup software on each PC or Server that
holds critical data. The software is then configured with the Files and Folders
containing information you want to back up, regardless of the file type or extension,
selecting the frequency with which you want it to be uploaded.

What can/should I Back Up Regularly?

The most commonly backed up files include:

• My Documents / My Pictures / My Music
• Corporate files on Company Servers
• Company Accounts (Sage / Quickbooks)
• Exchange Server data
• SQL/Access Databases
• Email (Outlook [Express], Thunderbird, Eudora)
• Windows Address Book
• Internet Explorer Favorites + FireFox Bookmarks
• Website Backups
• Personal / Family related Data
• Software Settings
• Any other Documents that are important

How Secure?

  • Our software encrypts your data using military grade 448-bit blowfish encryption
     on your PC before it is uploaded to our Backup Servers via the Internet.
  • Your encrypted backups are automatically sent to 3 different, commercially and
    geographically independent, data centers within the UK.
  • Our backend platform is the leading backup solution to the UK's financial sector,
    and is doing extremely well in the Insurance industry as well.
  • We have a continuity agreement in place that protects our customers and their data
    for a guaranteed minimum period of 360 days.

    Why Online?
  • Off Site Protection: Online Backups protect you from the worst type of crisis your
    business could be subjected to, such as Fire, Theft, and failure of key hardware.
  • Restore from Anywhere: Any time you need to retrieve anything from your backup,
    you can open up the software, log in, and immediately download one or more files
    and folders you require.
  • Computer Independent: If you regularly use more than 1 computer, they can all
    back up your information to a central account. When the document that you want is
    stored on the other system that is being backed up, you can log in on the system you
    are in front of and download it immediately.
    Quick Restore: If your system needs to be replaced urgently, you can get access to
    your data quickly by downloading and installing the latest version of our Software,
    logging in and downloading the latest version of all of your data.

    * Security Note: While multiple computers can be backed up using a single account,
    all backups are available using the same single login, and therefore users could
    download files that were backed up from other people's computers, which could
    result in User B downloading/viewing User A's document(s). Separate Accounts are
    therefore recommended for any Users/Managers/Directors with sensitive data.
    We also offer a Remote Installation Service which has a one time charge of £27.00 for
    a normal PC/Notebook, or £59.00 for a server.
    General Notes:
    Notifications will be sent as you approach 80%, 90%, and 95% of the disk space
    allowance of your package. Accounts are automatically upgraded to the appropriate
    package when the volume of compressed data exceeds the allowance on the current
    account, and an upgrade invoice will be generated accordingly. In the event of an
    unwanted upgrade please contact immediately so we can resolve the problem.

    All Prices quoted exclude VAT @ 17.5%

Invoices for recurring services are generated at the time the account is created, and
renewals are invoiced in advance of the service renewal date. Invoices are due within
14 days.
Invoices will be generated online and notification will be emailed to the account
holder who can log in and view/print/pay the invoice online or via BACS/Cheque. A
hard copy of Invoices will not be sent.
