Whether you use Microsoft Office 365 for business or personal use, you’ll know by now that regularly rolls out new changes. But here at Advance Computers, we know that it can be quite hard to keep track of all these updates and to find out when they’re available for Outlook Office 365. But don’t worry, we’ve done the hard work for you and put together a list of what we think is the most relevant changes for our customers. With that in mind, here are some recent updates that you can expect from Windows 365 this month:
Microsoft Teams gets a makeover
Slack is Microsoft Teams biggest rival in collaborative services. One previous way that Slack had the upper hand was in its app directory, but this is no longer the case! The new teams Microsoft Office 365 update now looks a whole lot better. The changes bring along a searchable store for apps along with a personal app space.
Search the store by an app category or name and use the personal space to access recently used apps in an instant. What’s more, you can even insert information from an app directly into a conversation with just one click.
New command box
A new command box was also introduced in the Microsoft Teams update. Additional functionality is promised going forward but in the meantime, you can use it to search for information on an app, like news articles or an image and then easily add it to a conversation. To do this, just type ‘@’ in the command box for a list of apps you can query and command.
Any Microsoft Office 365 updates for iOS and Mac?
Yes, there are a few new capabilities added for users on iOS and Mac. Such as:
- AutoSave for Mac – users with SharePoint and OneDrive now have an AutoSave feature for Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The changes will be automatically stored in the cloud but you can also easily restore and view your previous version.
- Drag & drop for iOS – pulling in text, images and graphs from various sources helps make life easier. For iPhone and iPad users you can now drop and drag text and files with ease from OneDrive, apps, iMessage or SharePoint.
- Real-time co-authoring – You and your workmates can add to and edit documents concurrently. There’s a shared Office 365 codebase for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android. This enables you to see who’s working alongside you and view any changes in seconds in a PowerPoint, Excel or Word document, whatever device is used.
- OneDrive file restore – this is a recovery solution that enables end users and administrators to restore files at any point during the last 30 days using activity data to choose the exact time to rewind back to. This new addition saves much time and stress should you accidently lose any files.
- Outlook for iOS – has an updated search experience that uses the Microsoft graph to bring you more unique and personalised results.
Yammer mobile app & education tools
